🛡️ Data Collection

TimeZone Meeting Assistant is designed with privacy by design. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data, audio recordings, or meeting content to external servers.

💾 Local Storage Only

All data remains on your device:

• Audio files: Your response audio is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB
• Meeting configurations: URLs, trigger words, and settings are saved locally
• Recordings: Meeting recordings are saved directly to your Downloads folder
• No cloud storage: Nothing is uploaded to our servers or any third-party services

🔑 Permissions Explained

The extension requires the following Chrome permissions for functionality:

• Microphone Access: Required to detect silence in meetings and determine when to automatically exit. Also needed to record meeting audio locally.
• Storage: Saves your audio files and configuration settings locally in your browser.
• Active Tab: Manages Google Meet tabs to join/leave meetings automatically.
• Alarms: Schedules automatic meeting joins at specified times.
• Scripting: Injects necessary code into Google Meet pages for automation.
• WebNavigation: Detects when Meet pages are fully loaded.

🔒 Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we don't collect any data.

The extension operates entirely within your browser and only interacts with:

• Google Meet (meet.google.com) - to automate meeting participation
• Your local browser storage - to save settings and audio files
• Your computer's microphone - for silence detection and recording

🌍 Third-Party Services

This extension does NOT use any external APIs, analytics services, or tracking tools. It does not connect to any servers other than Google Meet itself.

🔄 Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally:

• Data persists until you manually delete it or uninstall the extension
• You can clear all extension data through Chrome's extension settings
• Uninstalling the extension removes all associated data

👥 Team Transparency

This extension is designed for transparent use with your team's knowledge and consent. It's intended for legitimate business use cases where team members are aware that an automated assistant is participating in meetings on your behalf.

🔄 Policy Updates

This privacy policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the changes.
